How to “be grounded” has always been a major issue facing the business community. Through industry-university cooperation combined with academic units, and the co-creation of students and technical experts, Pershing led a hands-on exchange with National Tsing Hua University Science Institute. This was an excellent way to encourage students to have more creative thinking as well as providing new corporate thinking.
The Institute of Service Science of National Tsinghua University invited Pershing to participate in the “Service Innovation Course”. During the course, Professor Yan Xiuru, Directors Yu Dezhang and Lin Wenqi of the Application Script Laboratory guided students to conduct service innovation research. This theme was used to explore the possibilities of VTM virtual teller machine (Virtual Teller Machine) not only as an existing tool of the financial industry, but also extending the possibilities outwards to other industries, from talks between industrial technology experts and students, and field surveys on the ground. Co-creation time, and even 2.5D concept presentation of the actualization of ideas, produced many amazing creative solutions, and realized the value of cooperation and exchange between academies and industries.
Professor Yan Xiuru from Tsinghua University said: “It has been 11 years since the opening of the business innovation course. Every year, the partners and students can create a different spark. In this year’s cooperation, colleagues from Pershing lead us to understand IT finance and its future development trends. Whether it is user research for students or co-creation workshops with various project groups, it is a rare experience to let the students know critical opinions and viewpoints.”
In the class, students put forward five different creative proposals, including:
1. “Easy Check, Happy Out” scene set in the hotel to assist passengers with check-in procedures, taxi-hailing services, combined with local business circles to expand business opportunities in the regional life circle.
2. “vvv “Using VTM technology, membership system and tourism resource integration, and providing online payment channels, to bring travelers a different experience.
3. “School VV (VTM victory)” takes campus life as a starting point, transforms VTM into an information platform, and effectively improves administration Process and student pain points.
4. “Taiwan Adventure” combined with local culture to create regional themed tasks, strengthen the experience of passengers on the ground, create science to help passengers.
5. “Good Home Affairs” used VTM to assist the public in internal affairs, through appointments and video. The teller and identity verification mechanism greatly improves administrative efficiency and satisfies user experience.
Many of the above creative achievements have been praised by Pershing.
Lin Wenqi, Director of Applied Script Lab, said: “Every year, the teaching content of the course is different due to the setting of the theme. Each year the challenges are different. This year we invited Pershing to participate in the course using VTM as the theme. I saw the students progress throughout the course, evolving from complete novices to co-creators proposing new concepts and ideas. Seeing this lightbulb spark in students is the biggest motivation for professors to teach.”

Through this cooperation, practical experience and cutting-edge technology are brought to the campus, and the creative energy and fresh ideas from the students bring valuable contributions to the enterprise and provides a win-win situation for both sides to reexamine their own perspectives. In the future, Pershing will seek more opportunities for industry-university cooperation, assist campuses in cultivating talent, and strengthen corporate innovation competitiveness.
